It actually appears to be a 5-way tie between January, February, March, November, and December as no tornado has been recorded in Connecticut in those months since official records began in 1950. To be more certain, the safest bet would probably be January, February, and December. Overall, the threat from tornadoes in Connecticut is quite small to begin with, as there have only been 4 deaths from tornadoes in that state during the time of official records.
Tornadoes do not get official names as hurricanes do. They are sometimes, however, given informal names, usually for the places they hit. The worst of the tornadoes of March 18, 1925 is almost universally known as the Tri-State Tornado.
As of March 3, 2011 the most recent tornado to strike Minnesota was an EF0 near of the town of Dalbo in the east central part of the state on July 30, 2011. Two other EF0 tornadoes touched down in Minnesota early that same day, one in Todd county in the center of the state and another in Traverse County, near the state line with North and South Dakota. However, there will certainly be more tornadoes in Minnesota in the future.
As of February 9, 2013 the two most recent confirmed tornado were an unrated isolated tornado in Belgium on February 7, and an EF1 in the U.S. state of Georgia on January 30 that was one of 40 tornadoes to trike the U.s. that day.
