If you're speaking of the "Red River of the North" that forms much of the border between North Dakota and Minnesota, it NEVER joins the Mississippi, but flows NORTH and empties into Lake Winnipeg.
The Red River, not the one mentioned above joins the Mississippi in the marshes near to Shreveport.

The Red River basically ends in the bayous of South Louisiana.

There are not two oceans that meet in Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet on Mexico's east side though.
