The states that lie entirely west of the 155° W longitude line are Alaska and Hawaii. Alaska, which extends far northwest into the Bering Sea, has portions that are west of this line, while Hawaii is located in the central Pacific Ocean, also west of 155° W. The contiguous United States does not have any states that lie entirely west of this longitude.
The state that does not have an international boundary or lie on the coast is known as a landlocked state. An example is Colorado in the United States, which is surrounded by other states and does not have any access to the ocean or international borders. Landlocked states often rely on neighboring states for trade and transportation.
The plains are located in several states.
Iceland is not in any state. It is its own country.
