Buddhism and ancient Hinduism known as Sanatana Dharma have the same beliefs about death. The Buddhist, the Buddha called it Nirvana and the ancient Hindu sages from whom the Buddha gained spiritual knowledge called it Moksha. What is this? It's very simple - the body dies, every body dies but the one who was alive doesn't die - the one who was alive is reborn. Both the ancient Hindus and the Buddhists believe in the cycle of Samsara, that death and rebirth is a continuous cycle based on our Karma. Both believe in Karma and both believe that we should escape from the cycle of death and rebirth. This is the same belief, the only difference is in today's Hinduism, because it has become so full of idol worship, we have started believing that we will go to Swarga or heaven, which the Buddhists do not believe , which even Sanatana Dharma does not believe.
