There is no national or international Bodyguard (Executive Protection) license. Security licensing varies from state to state, as do licensing for permits to carry firearms. The best way to acquire a bodyguard license is to contact the local government agency that governs security licensing. In Maryland it would be the Maryland State Police. In DC it is the DC Police Department (However, DC does not allow Bodyguard Licensing). Virginia is the Virginia Dept of Justice and NC is the NC DOJ. Most will require that you work with an established security agency. However, this is not always the case.
