Don't panic, it can't kill you. Clean the cut with alcohol to stop it getting infected. If the skin was not pierced, wash your hands with warm water and soap. If it bites you, don't be afraid to handle it again. The more you handle it, the more it gets used to being handled, so it won't bite.

Turn back and don't touch it, it's very simple, a gecko is a very small animal, I'm pretty sure you can outrun the little thing....
