In general, children need to have a stable home and school environment where their basic needs are being met in order to learn well. Basic needs include a balanced diet, love, enough sleep and exercise and safety. From there, you look at any obstacles or impairments, such as gross and fine motor skills, verbal abilities - listening and speaking - and socialization. Kids are programmed to be learning at early ages, so the situation teachers and parents set up goes a long way.

Children may struggle to learn due to various obstacles such as learning disabilities, lack of access to resources or support, ineffective teaching methods, distractions, health issues, or a lack of motivation. Identifying and addressing these barriers can help support children in their learning journey.
