Since she makes her own stuffed animals I am sure she could make some that are safe for infants, however, alot of her work probably would not be the best to give to an infant and is more for just looks. They are really neat looking though!
How wonderful is was when you could. Now each Hospitl has their own rules, but I would say they must be new and have their tags showing "fill" information. What the animals is made of for allergies, etc. Call First. How nice you are! I would like to add my comments. In Minnesota there is an organization called The Chloe T. Foundation. This non-profit was started after the death of Chloe Terese. The organization sells new stuffed animals and uses the proceeds to purchase stuffed animals for children in the hospital. To date over 20,000 stuffed animals have been donated. Our animals are safe for all ages and have the special Saf-T lock eye so they cannot be biten or chewed off so they are good for all patients. Please visit our web site at www.chloetfoundation.org . A newer site will be on line by December 25, 2007 where you will be able to donate money so we can buy more animals AND you will be able to purchase our stuffed animals as well. Visit again after that!
Toddlers should be fine with stuffed animals, as they are made to be pretty sturdy and shouldn't be able to be broken by even an adult. If you are worried about such an event occuring, rough around with the stuffed animal before giving it to your toddler. If it passes your test, it's good enough for your toddler.
Stuffed toys make children's TV characters, balls and animals come alive to young imaginations. Even when kids fight with them, they are soft enough to stay safe. Some kids like to sleep with a stuffed toy, play with it and sometimes even pretend that it is alive. Many people love a stuffed toy when they reach adulthood, not to play with, but to collect. A number of popular collectible toys are stuffed, making them an interesting and fun way to build a hobby.
