Musical Theatre dance is a style of dance were there is a story involved and the dancer has to become the character. Usually the style is based on fun and the characters sometimes mischievous.
A Polonaise is a style of dance originated in Poland.
Musical theatre is more of a Broadway style of dancing. There aren't many differences between jazz and musical theatre. Probably the difference is that musical theatre is more like acting opposed to jazz dance where there is more dance technique. I personally LOVE jazz and have taken it since I was five and now I am going to be sixteen. Jazz is such a fun style of dance where you can express your style rather than act like someone else in musical theatre. Either way, keep dancing!

Broadway, or musical dance, has fused somewhat into a distinct style. While different musicals vary in the amounts of dance in them (anywhere from none to a focus on dance), the style of dance also varies completely based on the choreographical, stylistic, and plot-based influences. The overall "broadway dance style", if it had to be categorized, is most heavily focussed on jazz dance. Ballet is rarely used in musicals (The Phantom of the Opera is one exception.)
