Another Answer:

Perhaps the overall theme of the Scripture is God's desire to have a family. He began with the fallen Adam & Eve and continued onward despite the now flaws of mankind. He began anew with Noah and his family and continued onward via the line of Shem to Abraham to Isaac to Jacob or Israel and his 12 sons becoming the 12 tribes of Israel expanding. All their faults and history, along with the times they obeyed and followed God's Law are recorded for our understanding. Yet, since the fall in the Garden, a need for a perfect Savior became necessary. So God sent His only begotten Son (John 3:16) to restore man to their Creator - all mankind now. Jesus also gave us God's promise of the New Covenant to become fully effective in the Millennial Rule ahead for mankind. After the Judgement process, all who chose God and His Christ will be changed into eternal sons and daughters of the God Family - in the Kingdom of God government with Christ as our King under the Father here on the New Earth, in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21).
