To be honest, a good amount of brands have subwoofers that could compete with Rockford Fosgate's T2D415 or the T2D215 (both T2s, just a difference between 2-ohms and 4-ohms and 15" subs.) But yet have a I come across a subwoofer that has just blown Rockford's T2 power series out of the water. RF's T2 series ranges from 10" to 15" subs so different brands could possibly be a little bit better is certain aspects. But what I have seen in RF's speaker engineering is that with the right amp, wiring, and mids/tweeters, it is by far louder than even Tantric Audio's 24" subwoofers. RF and JL Audio have competed for ages though, so id check out JL audios systems. but honestly it depends on what you listen too, there are so many variables that cause car systems to be better or worse ranging from amps, receiver's, subwoofers, door speakers, fuses, gauge wire, ported or seal boxes, etc. Hope this helped some! Happy thumpin!
rockford fosgate beats jl power wise and prices. jl audio is also a excellent brand but in terms of power vs performance jl audio has an edge. jl audio is alot cleaner bass than its counter part rockford fosgate. jl audio provides its lows as well as high clean bass with good power. their over priced for quality though. rockford fosgate will out perform with deep louder bass. both cea rated for true wtts. rockford fosgate is excellent in prices beating jl audio from as much as 50$ - 100$ in getting virtually same high quality. rockford fosgate is better in their new 2011 models which are cleaner and underated for their power output.
Kicker is a much better quality subwoofer than Pyle, and it will have much better bass as well.
Depends on the truck but more than likely a shallow 12 like the Rockford fosgate ps3 pioneer also makes one that's sounds great!
myself i would go with JL alot of my friends have alpine my one friend has a w3 13.5 and it hit harder than my old 15" rockford fosgate P3 it also depends on what sub you go with the JL w7 is like one of the best subs out their and alpine dosent really make one that compeats i would go with JL myself
Rockford has more people than Noble. Rockford is a larger city with a higher population compared to Noble.
12inch-Produces better quality low pitch bass 10inch-Produces better and more accurate high pitch bass It depends on what you prefer but 99% of people prefer 12inch over a 10inch anyway plus they are more powerful than a 10 inch.
That is usually the whole point of a Subwoofer, hearing the music clearer and feeling it. If you don't like the thump, then a subwoofer is not for you! The best way to fix this problem is first you have to remove all the wires from the subwoofer. Than take the subwoofer out of the box and set the subwoofer in a trash can. On trash day wheel subwoofer to end of driveway. Problem solved!
A subwoofer box is just a wooden box used to hold the subwoofer speaker. The recommended wood is birch plywood that is 3/4 inch thick. Birch is a sturdy and dense wood. MDF fiberboard is becoming a more popular choice. It can withstand extreme temperature ranges better than wood.
You must first check with the guide to your subwoofer. Either you can probably find it online , but you need to know the RMS wattage for the subwoofer. Than buy an amp that can put out the same number of watts and the RMS is for the subwoofer.
This depends on the sub your talking about 1 12" JL sub is better than 4 12" rockford subs
you know, high price high quality and brand effect. For all this, I think you should choose a subwoofer that was made of aluminum housings, not the wood housings because aluminum make the tone quality better than wood.
yes and no. it depends on the size of the speaker and where the speaker will be located to perform. For instance, if a 15" speaker is placed in a trunk with very little space, a smaller box would be ideal not only because of trunk space, but the sound will have more space to travel, rather than it reverberate quickly back to its starting point. But a pro of a bigger subwoofer enclosure is that the more box you have, the more it can be ported. With a bigger ported box, the subwoofer can perform closer to its RMS.
