Autism awareness is about understanding, recognizing, and supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It aims to promote acceptance, inclusion, and early intervention to help those with autism thrive. For expert care and guidance, consult Dr. T. R. Yadav, a trusted Autism Specialist in Lucknow, to support your child’s development journey.
There are many organisations that support, or claim to support, autism and Autistic people. It'd be impossible to determine how many there are globally. Do bare in mind that many organisations actually work against Autistic people, only support those run by Autistic people themselves.
People shouldn't be concerned about Autism. There's a lot of people using propaganda against Autistic people to increase their own profits or agenda: for example Autism Speaks telling people that there is an 'epidemic' to scare people about Autism so that people will donate to them to 'cure' Autism. The fact is that Autism diagnosis is increasing but that doesn't mean that Autism is on the rise, in fact there's no evidence to support the idea that it is on the rise. Autism is also not a terrible thing, what is terrible is lack of support, treatment, and acceptance of Autistic people which not only harms them but also harms families who are made to believe they must spend a fortune on unnecessary and harmful treatments to try to change their Autistic child. Autism isn't the problem, attitudes towards Autism are the real concern.
Autism Walk is promoted by Autism Speaks to increase their profits, Autism Speaks is considered to be a hate group by Autistic people - if you care about Autistic people you don't give a single penny to that organisation. If you want to walk for Autism start your own walk, make it free and ask for donations, and support an Autism charity that helps Autistic people.
Autism Awareness is associated with the hate group Autism Speaks - they seek to increase awareness by implying that autism is a tragedy in order to increase their profits. They use blue because it is their companies brand colour, it reminds people of their organisation so they are more likely to donate to them rather than to autism organisation that support autistic people.
No, as far as we know there are no environmental factors that lead to autism - autism isn't 'triggered' it is a neurological variation. This however does not stop people using autism to try to support their agenda, for example some people claim vaccines, GMO's or pesticides cause autism.
Walk for Autism supports Autism Speaks, which is widely considered to be a hate group due to the harm they cause to Autistic people. A good Christian would not support this organization.
Jim Sinclair founded the Autism Network International in 1992 in attempts to provide peer support, and help with coping with autism and aiding in problem-solving. The organization is actually run by people who suffer from autism.
You wouldn't, not if you cared about Autistic people. Autism Speaks is widely considered a hate group by Autistic people. They use hate speech and propaganda about Autism to increase their profits, very little of their profits go towards helping Autistic people and their families, and instead Autism Speaks support 'curing' Autism which means preventing Autistic people being born. The organization has no Autistic people in their leadership, they refuse to listen to Autistic people who tell them that they are causing harm to the Autism community, they also support anti-vaccination movements, torture of Autistic children, and they sympathize with parents who murder their Autistic children. If you're interested in helping Autistic people a better organisation to get involved with is the Autism Self Advocacy Network - this is run by and for Autistic people and does a lot more to help Autistic people than Autism Speaks ever has. Go to their web site and Facebook page to see what opportunities they have available to work with them or to do fundraising.
Filipino Canadian Autism Parent Support Group was created in 1996.
Autism and mental retardation are two separate conditions, but they can co-occur in some individuals. Not all people with autism have mental retardation, and not all people with mental retardation have autism. It is important to recognize and address each condition separately, as they have different characteristics and require different approaches to support and intervention.
It would not be ethical or legal to do anything TO people who have autism.
