I have never heard of this. But you are supposed to avoid caffeine while pregnant and tea contains large volumes of caffeine so I would suggest not drinking very much of it. Beside the caffeine, some thai tea manufacturers add food color either red or yellow to mimic the color of the crushed tamarind seed to make the tea looks so attractive.
