There are several differences between US and European televisions. Most of Europe uses PAL color encoding although France uses SECAM. North America uses NTSC color encoding. European power supplies are 230V while North America uses 115V. Finally, several television transmission systems are used. Germany uses a different transmission system to the UK for example and both are different to North America. A television that will work in Europe and the US will be a multi-standard color system, multi-voltage and will have several receiver modes. It is rare to find such a model although the Middle Eastern market offers some televisions that have all of the above capabilities. Unless there is a specific requirement to have a single television that operates in all modes, it's probably easier and cheaper to obtain one for each region.

Will us tv work in Eu?

There are several problems using a US television in Europe. First, the television standards differ between North America and Europe. Although many European televisions will handle North American signals, the same is not true for televisions made for the US market. Look for an indication that the television will handle PAL signals. There are converters available to convert PAL 576 50Hz signals to NTSC 480 60Hz signals but good ones are costly. Next, the mains power supply in Europe is 230 volts so a US television must be able to accept a 230V supply. Some can handle multiple voltages but others can't. Finally, the built in tuners are not compatible so a separate terrestrial or satellite receiver will be required. Generally, the time and cost of making a North American television operate in Europe make it less expensive to simply buy a new model in Europe.
