Highest temperature this year 2010 was around 26 degrees Celsius.

Sounds nice but in fact was stiflingly hot!

A "hot" day here on Scilly and be anything upwards of 20C because of our oceanic climate it depends on the sea breeze strength.

Generally it needs to be flat calm and then the temperature really does get hot, but never as hot as other UK high spots such as the South East for example.

It is normally always a comfortable climate here and the big difference comes in the winter when we don't get any frosts and very rarely get snow because the temperature rarely drops to freezing or below.

What is the temperature in the scilly isles?

The Isles of Scilly are a temperate climate taking on the relative temperature of the sea that surrounds it. This means that winter temps rarely get below freezing if at freezing at all. And in the summer is normally limited to around 25 degrees celsius. That said it feels much warmer than that on a sunny summers day and with added wind chill can feel colder than freezing in the winter. However frost is highly unusual and snow very rare. Scilly is always warmer than the mainland in the winter and this is where Scilly gains is "Sub-Tropical" status.
