Look around you! Birds, like people, are comfortable in the "temperate" (60'-75') range. Watch your pet bird: if s/he fluffs up round, too cold, if s/he pants, too hot.

The ideal temperature for a Goliath bird tarantula should be 70-85 Fahrenheit. I'm assuming this will be for other species as well, double check this though if yours isn't a Goliath.
