The term would be consensus. As, in the two parties have reached an agreement somewhere in between each party's original platform on a specific subject. This is why it is cooperation, that is, the parties have reached a middle ground for the common good; not that one party has "gone over" to the beliefs & ideas (platform) of the other party.

In politics, the word consensus, originates in parliamentary law/procedure, also called legislative procedure, legislative order, rules of order. That is, the rules, customs, and ethics that govern meetings of legislative bodies, like the U.S. Congress, the UK's Parliament, etc.,.

Consensus is used differently in other disciplines. For the political meaning of consensus, the first two sentences of the introductory/summary paragraph on the Wikipedia page for "Consensus decision making" clearly defines how this word is used when describing the cooperation of, but not (necessarily) agreement between democrats and republicans:

"Consensus decision-making is a group decision making process that seeks the consent, not necessarily the agreement of participants and the resolution of objections. Consensus is defined by Merriam-Webster as, first, general agreement, and second, group solidarity of belief or sentiment."
