According to the j&p catalog, and i quote: "With motor off connect "F" terminal to ground and monentarily flash the "A" terminal with positive.Remove ground with "F" terminal. Note: If you have properly installed a working regulator it will turn on and ground the "F" terminal." hope that help's.
Build a jumper wire with small alligator clips at each end. Find the "B" terminal on the regulator and attach one of the alligator clips, find the "D" terminal and touch the terminal with the other alligator clip. You can touch the terminals a few times and it will produce a soft light spark. Under no circumstances touch the "F" terminal or any other part of the regulator or you could damage the regulator. Start the car and make sure the generator charges properly by the gauge indication.
a wire goes from the a terminal from generator to the g on reg.the f from gen goes to f on reg .one wire from positive batt to b on reg.

The Philadelphia International Airport is actually not that large. It takes about 7 to 9 minutes to shuttle from Terminal F to Terminal C.
i am not going to get into componet level testing but i will pass on some quick tests. need to get an amp meter of at least 10 amps but a 30 amp would be best. you can check out harbor freight or a local auto parts store. connect some leads with aligator clips to the meter. remove the two leads from the generator and connect a jumper from the "f" terminal to chassis ground and the positive lead of the amp meter to the "a" terminal. start the engine and run at 2000 rpm and monentarily touch the negative lead of the amp meter to the battery positive terminal. if you get a reading of 10 amps or more, the generator is functional so check wiring or regulator. if you get no reading then the generator is at fault. there are other test that can be performed on the genetor but it would be better to let a shop do it for more test equipment is needed. note: anytime the wire on the regulator, generator or battery is removed, you must flash the generator after they are connected and before the engine is started by hooking a wire to the battery positive terminal and just make a very momentary touch to the "a" terminal of the generator. failure to do this can result in damage to the charge system.
If a generator turns off or will not start up due to loss of magnetism, it is possible to use a 12 volt battery to make it work. You have to remove the exciter fields, measure the exciter field resistance, connect the F+ to the positive end of the battery, hold the F- lead near the insulated part of the lead wire and place it on the negative end of the battery for 5 to 10 seconds, then reconnect F+ and F- to the regulator.?æ

at whitch terminal at JFK I find Air Berlin
The flight arrives JFK at terminal 4. You are there when you arrive...
Remove all cables from the generator. Connect battery's + (plus) to the generator's A and then connect battery's - (minus) to the generator's F (field) for a second. Might give a small spark, but that doesn't hurt anybody.
