You will find the prophecy about scoffers written in 2nd Peter chapter 3, where it talks about this time "in the final days" You can watch the prophecy concerning scoffers on the news or on the internet almost daily.

2nd Peter ch 3:

3- Knowing this first, that there shall come in the final days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 - And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.

5 - For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God, the heavens were of old. and the earth standing our of the water and in the water.

Those scoffers are going to be saying, "there is no Christ coming it was all a clever lie, The Bible is just a book of stories written by men to keep people in line and give them false hope. These will be believers in philosophia doctrine who are among the scoffers. They will use philosophia reasoning via dialectics to conclude this opinion (already have). Many of these scoffers will claim to be Christians but they do lie, even unto themselves via the use of the dialectic method.

Peter states their ignorance is wrapped around not being aware there was an earth age (eon) prior to this one, which was destroyed completely by a flood. We know this age to have been where dinosaurs roamed the earth. The extinction level event which took place as Peter,Jeremiah and Moses stated, was a flood. You will find this flood being cleaned up in Genesis chapter 1:2. Take the word translated from Hebrew to be "waters"; that word (Strong's 4325) in the Hebrew is pronounced "mayam" and it means: water figuratively juice, by euphemism urine, wasting water.

A euphemism is a substitution word, for something which may be offensive or unpleasant. Here the word Waters was used to substitute for urine or waste water.

Attempting to fit everything into this one earth age simply will not work, as this age is only 13,000 years old at this point. You will find written in that same 2nd Peter 3,, that a day with the Lord is as 1000 years. Therefore the first 7 days mentioned in Genesis chapter 1 and 2 were 7000 years and the second set of 7 days (7000 years) started with ethhaadam (Adam - the man to till the soil). We are now on the 6th day of that second set of 7 days (7000 years). This entire earth age will last only two weeks or 14000 days (2 sets of 7 days with a day lasting 1000 years, its fairly simple). Dinosaurs (which are defined in the book of Job) will not fit into this earth age as they predate its existence. Dinosaurs are therefore from the first earth age mentioned and defined by Peter.

The scoffers do not understand (as they rely upon the dialectic for definition, or they ignorantly interpret what is written), therefore they attempt to fit everything into this earth age, or they use dialectics to attempt to indicate this earth age is more than 13000 years old. However, neither of these scenarios of the scoffers, matches what is actually written in our Fathers word. Our Fathers word mentions two earth ages, one prior to this which has no time associated with it, and this one which is limited to 14000 years (2 weeks of 7 days).
