i know that sometimes when a fuel pump doesnt work its not the pump, but rather the fuel pump relay try checking that
start by checking for a wiring problem or possibly a bad pump
After replacing the fuel filter and checking the fuel pump fuse and relay it still does not work, replace it.
No oil pressure - after checking with a manual gauge
You can try, checking the pump harness for voltage. If no voltage continue on by checking the ride control fuse then the relay , which is located under the plastic cover on the left strut tower under the hood
More to the point is finding how the air is getting into the system. If you have a jet pump ( surface pump/motor unit) I would suggest checking and properly tightening every fitting between pump and foot valve. If you can't do this call a well technician.More to the point is finding how the air is getting into the system. More info would help such as model and year of vehicle but start with checking the fuses and fuel pump relay.
Try checking your fuel pump.
The doors on most Mercedes in the 1990's operate by air pressure caused from a vacuum pump. If you have no suction, first begin checking the air/vacuum lines themselves for leaks. If this does not work, consider taking it to your local mechanic or dealer for pump replacement.
I would start by checking the ground on the fuel pump. If it is grounded then check to see if there is power getting to the pump wit ha test light, if theres power then the pump is probally bad. If you bought it at a western auto, parts of America or a advanced auto then most likely its a bad pump, I bought one from advaned auto and there wasn't even a ground wire attached to the pump.. brought it back and the secound one didn't work at all. hope this helped..
Check the electrical connections going to the pump, including checking to make sure the ground is good.
If you are checking for it leaking, you will need to see it.
