The high School JROTC class prepares students to join the military or at least give them an idea of what the military is all about. It instills discipline, leadership and responsibility, It will also n=make the cadets better people in general.
Have straight A's in all Class's and be in the Top 25% of your JROTC Class.
Yes. JROTC is in high school, ROTC is in college. Technically, you do not have to take JROTC at all to take ROTC. Generally, people who take ROTC in college are joining the military afterwards. The same in not necessarily true for JROTC.
JROTC teaches class on rank structor, also physical training so it could count as a gym class.
It couldn't hurt, since you'll be better prepared.
They take roll. They call the class to Attention and lead the Pledge of Alligence and the Cadet Creed. They then turn the class over to the instructor in charge. They suprivise the class in the absence of the instructors. Also, class leaders ensure that the class room is clean and in order at the end of class.
With one or two years of JROTC, you go in as Private (E2) if you enlist. With three or four years of JROTC, or having earned the status of Eagle Scout, or with an Associate's Degree, you go in as Private First Class (E3) if you enlist. It doesn't matter what rank you receive as a JROTC cadet.
Its JROTC :) I'm in Lead Ed/Train 2
It makes no difference. If you have been in JROTC for 2 years (i think), then you get a rank advance no matter what branch you enlist in. If you enlist in the Army, you will leave basic training as a PFC. I am also in AFJROTC but i am either joining the army or navy.
Army JROTC does indeed have "Dress Blues" called the Class-A Uniform. It only depends on which Brigade you are in (i.e. Your location) and what resources your Brigade has at the moment.
Yes there is JROTC in Hawaii.
Jrotc is from the army and algebra is math.
In the US Army ROTC and JROTC, it's three round silver discs.
