How do you get girls to talk to you if you are shy?

Just do it man! There isn't any real special trick to do this, get over the shyness and have the courage to do it, that's the best thing you could do, otherwise you're not going to have much luck unless the girl is interested in you as well, and comes up to you first.

As far as a shy boy being more shy than a shy girl, that isn't likely. boys are more pressured to talk with girls, if nothing else, to score. having said that, girls are probably more shy than boys.

Talk to him, but don't be shy. Most boys like girls who aren't shy around them, and someone you can actually talk to. If you have a brother get them to become friends. Just talk, and build up the relationship between you two.
