The term acoustic, albeit not neccessarily accurate, usually implies a guitar with steel strings, whereas classical implies the use of nylon strings. For playing almost all types of modern music, a guitar with steel strings is preferred.

There are two ways to play B9 on the guitar: 1: Put your index finger on the 1st fret, D string (3rd string from the top), middle finger on the 2nd fret, A string (2nd string from the top), and bar the bottom three strings with the ring finger on the 2nd fret. Do not play the low E string (top). 2: Place middle finger on the low E string (top) of the 7th fret. Index finger bars the A string (2nd string from the top) and G string (3rd string from the bottom) on the 6th fret. Then the ring finger is placed on the D string (3rd string from the top) of the 7th fret. And finally the pinky is placed on the B string (2nd string from the bottom) of the 7th fret. Do not play the high E string (bottom).
