Only one thing can be acceleration; the changing velocity of any given object. That's what acceleration is. Acceleration is caused by a net force on the object.
Velocity can either increase or decrease. It can do so at either an increasing or decreasing rate (positive or negative acceleration)

you need to know two different positions for the moving object, and the time interval between them. Velocity is the time it took to go from point A to point BTechnically, tho- you only need two things... Distance traveled and time.
doing some homework? A net force vector/imbalance can either increase velocity (positive acceleration), decrease velocity (negative acceleration) or effect zero acceleration (perpendicular).
Describe three situations in which a force changes the velocity of an object?
If movement is in two dimensions: the x-coordinate of the velocity, and the y-coordinate of the velocity. Or alternatively: the magnitude of the velocity, and the direction. If movement is in three dimensions, you need to know three things, for example, x-coordinate, y-coordinate, and z-coordinate of the velocity, or magnitude of the velocity and two components of direction.

Three factors that affect movement are friction, wind resistance, and velocity. Friction is the resistance that a single object encounters when moving over another object. Velocity is speed, and wind resistance is the opposing force on an object.
