Crappie jigs are effective for crappie at mid day fishing off the dock or off the shore. Twisters are partially effective for bass and crappie at daytime off the shore. Catfish fishing is great in early morning, noon, and night in murky waters in the lake. Use worms at night. Minnows prove very effective in the daytime. Be prepared and have good equipment because catfish here are big and heavy. Walleye fishing is good in the morning through noon using flies, worms, plastic worms, and twisters soaked in walleye attractant which can be bought at bass pro shops. It smells kind of like garlic. Fish for Walleyes off the shore near the camp grounds.

I see you asked the question a little while ago but It depends on the type of fishing that you are doing. I wouldn't use any ugly stick if I was bass fishing or fishing where you want a sensative road to feel the bite. The nice thing about ugly sticks are they are cheap and pretty much indestructible. A peice of advice the next time you go to buy a rod go to Bass Pro Shop and they make a rod brand called Extreme its green and made by Bass Pro Shop and it is by far superior in my mind and fairly cheap.
