The Pocohontas state park visiting hours are between 6am and 10pm. The Reserve Center hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. There is camping permitted. For camping check in is 3pm and check out is 4pm the next day. For cabins check in is 3pm and check out is at 10am.

The park is open 24/7/365. Facilities start to close in September and roads close in November. But visitors engaging in legal activities are never required to leave the park's boundaries.
