Portugal's time zone [Western European Time, WET] and the United Kingdom's time zone [Greenwich Mean Time, GMT] are basically on the same time because both time zones are considered to be the same as Coordinated Universal Time [UTC].

There is no time difference. Portugal is on the same time zone as the UK. They also change to daylight saving time (and back) when we do.
