Year round, generally Monday through Thursday. Except for during the Christmas holiday period. The Navy will stop ship about mid December, and start shipping again after the New Year Standown period.
Usually boot camp for the army lasts for a few weeks. After boot camp you get time off before you actually start your service.
Depends on the reason. Why go back in if you had trouble the first time around?
Recruits don't get any time off for traditional holidays, let alone Navy holidays. You'll get time to yourself and usually a break from the usual grind since everyone else on base is off (save for the cooks and those standing security watches) but the only leave you'll see is when you graduate. Spent Christmas myself in Boot Camp.
That used to be an recruitment slogan for the US Navy. It was given to the Navy by Ken Mackay in boot camp toward the end of training during an interview. It was his answer to the question: "Why did you join the Navy?" He got high test scores and a commendation while in boot camp and the Navy was interested in his answer. The year was 1961. Until that time recruits were advised that the service was a good place to get experience so they could get a job. The "Voice" of that campaign was Harry Chase... his first gig in NYC.

Navy Boot Camp, as others, are nominally 8 weeks in length. There are variables which may increase the time spent there by a week or so, but they are usually at the receiving barracks. That is time spent waiting for a sufficient amount of recruits to arrive to form a company.
Depending on when you are to "class up" for your "A" school. If there is time before, you can take leave if you are authorized.
Yes, typically soldiers are given leave after Army boot camp graduation. The duration of the leave varies depending on the soldier's specific situation, but it is typically around 10 days to two weeks. During this time, soldiers are allowed to return home and spend time with their families before reporting to their next duty station or training.
Their time in boot camp and training.

Once you actually join the Navy, all you really need to do is work out a little if you have time so that you will be more prepared for the physical part. Also, you should bring a little money to cover costs of items you may need. The Navy will supply everything else you need.
