1931 , the year it was invented in. Hawaiian music was probably the first serious style played on the first Guitars as that was the rap music or metal of the 1930s surprisingly.
well that depends on if you mean when the first time any one ever picked up an electric guitar and played blues or when the first electric guitar blues was recorded. ever played id say within 2 hours of its creation. ever recorded, thats a harder question. i would probably dig into john lomax's past for that answer.
more. i had a semi acoustic for 3 of the seven years ive been playing guitar and when i got my first electric my fingers were not hurting a lot every time i played
It seems like there are many musicians who have played the electric guitar for most or all of their careers. These musicians include Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, and Slash.
No, your child cannot get shocked using an electric guitar. There is no electricity running through the guitar at any time.
time after time
When starting a stringed instrument the hardest thing to learn is how to place your fingers on the strings in a comfortable way, most people tend to press too hard causing cramps in their hands as well as do not have an easy time stretching their fingers. Between electric guitar, electric bass and adding in acoustic guitar, electric guitar is the easiest to develop strength in your hands without become discouraged too quickly. Also consider the length of your fingers, smaller hands have a harder time on bass at first. Regardless of your hand strength overtime you will be able to move across the fret board with ease.
Yes, you can plug an electric guitar into an acoustic amplifier. But I would suggest that you don't play at a high volume for a long period of time of the difference in impedence - an acoustic guitar (and bass and vocals) is low impedence, where an electric guitar (& keyboard) is high impedence.
The first electric guitar was the Rickenbacker A-22, better known as the "Frying Pan," invented in 1931 by George Beauchamp. It was a steel guitar, and used two horseshoe magnets that arched over the strings as pickups. While this is officially recognized as the first, as he was not granted a patent until 1937, he could not make the only electric guitar until a patent was granted, giving other manufacturers plenty of time to create their own electric guitars and think of ways to get around Beauchamp's patent. Production of the A-22 ran from 1932 to 1939.
He uses a Custom Paul Reed Smith electric guitar.
that is a very delicate question. many have proof of creating the very first electric guitar. every now and then you come a cross a musical group of people that plays the guitar. many time they say that there great grandfather or grandfather invented the electric guitar. in norway there is a man that claims he made it. in southern usa there are several who claim they made it. in china there are 4 that i know of that say they made the first electric guitar. none of them have hard evidence of this though. they have the guitar but not when it was made. so many people have the same evidence that supports their claim that in the end people just say: lets just be happy we have it. its like asking who invented the wheel...
you use a guitar and play it
At first yes, when your fingers get sore just put the guitar down. It takes time to get used to it. I recommend thin strings like light gauge and a lower tuning if it hurts to play.
