The tissue below the dermis is the hypodermis, or superficial fascia.
The subcutaneous tissue
The human skin is made up of three basic layers ; the epidermis (outer layer), the dermis(middle layer) beneath the epidermis and the subcutaneous layer beneath the dermis. The subcutaneous layers are fat cells and connective tissue that carry the blood vessels and nerves. It is located below the epidermis and the dermis, in that order, and is the third and final layer and consists primarily of loose connective tissue and lobules of fat.
The suffix "-dermis" refers to the layer of tissue that lies beneath the epidermis in the skin. It is commonly used in anatomy to denote the inner layer of a specific tissue or structure.
is 1/5th of the thickness of dermis. Areolar Connective tissue which has elastic, collagen and reticular fibers. It is the region beneath dermal papillae ( finger-like projections in the uppermost part of the dermis just beneath the basement membrane of epidermis)
Dermis.
Adipose tissue
The papillary layer of the dermis is made up of areolar connective tissue.
Subcutaneous fat is the bottom layer
Subcutaneous administration involves injecting the solution into the subcutaneous tissue beneath the layers of skin (i.e. the space between the dermis and the muscle).
subcutaneous layer. its the third layer of skin made up of adipose tissue (fat) which is made up of adipocytes. it lies benath the dermis which lies beneath the epidermis, your outermost layer of skin.
Dermis. :D
The dermis protects the under lying tissues.
Dermis-- The deeper portion or layer of the skin beneath the epidermis.
