- You could take your daughter to a mall and go shopping and take note of things she likes or what her favorite stores are and then you could get a gift certificate for that store so she can pick out her own clothes (often cheaper on Boxing Day than before Christmas) and then you could get her a piece of jewelry along with it so she will have an actual gift to open besides the gift certificate.
