Other than medical or health reasons, there is little need to call someone anything that refers to race, color, weight, birth defects, and so on.
Health and medical - wise, the term 'plump' (Somewhat overweight) or 'obese' (very overweight) is OK. Or just use the term, 'overweight'.
Some people use the term, "Undertall", as in, "I am not overweight, I am just undertall" Meaning that if the person was taller, their weight would be just right.
