When your iPod is frozen, all you have to do is this: Hold down the home button, and the button on top of your iPod for about 5 seconds, until the 'Apple' company icon appears. Let it load, and your iPod should be back to normal.
Make sure the lock button is off. Then Hold down menu and the centre button for a few seconds. That should reset it. It will not delete your songs etc. If that doesn't work, go to: apple.com
all need to do is hold the power button DOWN and then it well shut off by itself then put it back on and HOORAY!! it works hope I helped byez ;)
The iPod 4th gen has the lock button on the top right but the older models have it on the top left.
If you keep your fingers on the home button and the lock button at the same time for 10 seconds, your iPod shout reset.

You can get to the camera from the lock screen of an iPod touch by double clicking the menu button. The little camera button will Then pop up in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. If you double click the menu button again it will disappear and go back to the normal lock screen.
your iPod probably has a lock with a circle on the top bar next to the battery icon (if it is jailbroken or is an iPod 4g). If so, double click the home button and scroll to the music dock and press the button on the left. (screen rotation lock)
Hold down the pause play button
Press the lock/sleep button located on the top right of the ipod (top left for 2nd gen). It will look turned off but you simply press the button again or the home button to wake it up and "slide to unlock" on the bottom of the screen.
Holed the lock button for 3 seconds then the lock and home button till it turns back on (normally around 12-15 seconds).
