Why is your dwarf hamster dragging his back legs?

Your hamster may be limping if it was climbing the cage and fell and then hurt itself. Or they could have an infection. Or they could be faking it which is VERY unlikely. My hamster started limping when it got a sugerpuff stuck to its leg, my mum thought its leg had fallen off!

What's wrong if your hamster broke its back leg a while ago and now it is dragging them behind it when he walks and the day it broke its leg it only was dragging one leg and now it's dragging both?

This is hard to say without actually seeing the hamster but my guess is that its other leg got tired and the bones healed into that position. I strongly recommend to bring it to the vet for a check up.

Why is your hamster bleeding on its back?

My son's Cambell's dwarf hamster is dragging it's back legs. We don't know what happend to it. He was fine yesterday. Will he be ok?

it most likely is not okay. it is possible it couldve gotten stuck on something in the night like bars etc. or if you do have pine or cedar shavings for bedding it is extremely bad for them and that could be a result.. hope this helped

What does it mean when your hamster goes bald and glows a black spot on his back?

Your hamster goes bald and grows a black spot on its back because it is about to die.

What is wrong if a hamster is dragging its back legs but still uses them on occasion and there is no vet for 400 miles?

That really depends on a few things:If your hamster isn't always dragging its legs, that means that when it is, it's "scent marking", or in a non-scientific manner, telling you what's his.If your hamster is always dragging its back legs, you should probably get a vet to check it out. This is exactly what happened to my hamster. I took him to the vet and the vet gave him some pain killers and some antibiotics in an injection. The vet will ask you to come back 24 hours later. In those 24 hours take out all there wheels, tubes and that kinda stuff and make sure you keep them warm and feed them a tiny bit of bread soaked with low fat milk for calcium. Then take them back to the vet the next day.
