What to do if your dog is sick from drinking milk?

You should not feed your dog milk. They are unable to digest it properly which in turn will cause them to throw it up or get diarrhea. Try making some rice for your dog and offer small amounts several times during the day and gradually add it's dog food to it. If this doesn't clear up within 24 hours please see your Vet as the dog is probably getting dehydrated.

If your dog is sick from drinking milk than the best thing to do is not give it milk again and don't feed it till the vomiting stops and just wait and see what happens...Type your answer here... PS.they usually eat grass to make themselvs better.

Do not give your dog cow's milk as it will cause diarrhea & sometimes vomiting. If your dog is sick, then do NOT give it anymore milk. If he or she continues to be sick, take your dog in to be checked out by your Veterinarian as it could be something else & more serious.

"milk is actually very good for dogs. So do nothing." Whoever gave this answer is WRONG! As dogs age, they lose their ability to digest lactose. To put this in other words, they become lactose intolerant. This is not true for all dogs, but it is true for most. The lactose can create serious gastro-intestinal distress in dogs, and it can be very serious. If you really want to give your dog milk, give it the lactose free kind. In general, though, water is always the best choice. Why is it that people will speak like they are absolute authorities, when they clearly have no basis for the things that they say? When people do this it is usually harmless. In this case, it could lead to very serious problems. BE RESPONSIBLE!
