If your horse is constipated you need to call an equine veterinarian immediately. There is obviously something blocking the manure and it cannot exit the horse, this will cause pressure to build up along with gas and pain. The vet may do a rectal palpitation or exam to remove the manure and see what is blocking it and may administer a laxative to help things move along the digestive tract if the blockage is not severe. If there is something lodged in the digestive tract the vet may send you to an equine hospital for a more in depth treatment.
