It depends on how bad the cut is.
If the cut is severe enough that the jewelry won't stay in, you need to get it stitched up and repierced, IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION (it doesn't have to be much different, just enough different you're not piercing into scar tissue) after it heals.
If it's not a severe cut, use whatever aftercare your piercer recommended when you got the industrial to heal the cut, and be very gentle so your jewelry won't pull through.

Make sure its the cream and not the ointment because the ointment is too thick and can stop the piercing from breathing if the cut is close to the piercing. If the piercing hole looks like a slit because of the cut or migration, go see your piercer. You might need a custom bar or to remove the piercing and get it done again later.
