Check your input connection. Maybe its loose and needs to be adjusted.
Either the sound settings are messed up, or you have blown speakers. First before buying speakers, try playing with balance and fade.
If both front speakers are not working, then either the fade control is set to rear speakers only, or the front speaker plug has fallen out - very unlikely. Check the fade control, first. Or, I suppose a particularly loud blast of music could blow both speakers at once . . .
Replace the speakers. Adjust the Fade/Balance and listen to find which speaker is popping. The popping noise is most likely from a broken cone in the speaker
Push the volume control button in and release. Do this 4 time (i believe) you will be scrolling from bass to treble, fade and then display. When you are on display move the the volume button down to lighten and up to darken.

You either have accidentally Disconnected the Wires to the rear speaks or you have the Fade on the radio set to the front.
You need to figure out exactly what's wrong with them, first. Could be the head unit output being defective, could be broken wires, could be the speakers themselves.. could also be as simple as your fade being set entirely to the front speakers.
Adjusting speaker volume between the front and rear speakers is known as fade.On the 1996-1999 models, there is a separate button on the radio controls labeled 'fade'.Reference page 32 in the Owners Manual for more.See "Related Questions" below for more
Unfortunately the Fruity Edition is limited in its editing ability when it comes to non-pattern audio. A way to accomplish this is within the Audio Clip tool itself: There are small knobs towards the bottom of the instrument window that can fade the volume (one for fade-in, one for fade-out). As this is not very easy to sync with timing without a bunch of trial-and-error, I'd recommend using an automation clip. A good trick to improve automation precision is to (before recording the automation) slow your tempo way down.
Unless the vehicle is fairly old and the speakers just blew, the only real reason for both back speakers goin out at the same time is the radio itself is messed up. Use your fader and fade all the sound to the back, if you hear nothing at all, replace the radio. If you hear some cracking and just general bad noise, replace the speakers.
Crescendo is the term used for an increase in volume
