You must show that you are the latter type. You must impress upon her or him that your criticism of her bad habit of complaining is not meant to tear her down and make her or him feel bad but to help her improve and become a better, more likeable person. So tell your friend that she has a bad habit that she should work on breaking. But be polite and sensitive.

∙ 11y ago- The simplest thing to learn and is a must to learn in order to get through ones life with the least amount of problems possible is good communication skills. Since you feel your friend is annoyed then talk to your friend and tell them you sense they are annoyed about something and would they like to discuss it with you. They may just do that, but if they refuse to talk to you then you will have to let them work it out on their own. If the person is taking their annoyance out on you then let them know in plain English that if they don't want to talk to you about it that you are not hanging around to let them use you as their whipping post.
