has this hey worked in that van before? if it has then u more then likely need to change the ignition it self "the tumblers may have worn out" if it never worked then have a new key cut they will take your vin number and cut u a new key
Put a little presure on the key ( like tring to turn the Key but not to hard ) bump the key lightly with a hammer while triing to turn it. This will fix this problem 99% of the time, spray some break dust cleaner in to the ignition and work the key in and out several times. This should take care of the problem.
