No, learning to play on the pro controller wont be that much different
Through a usb port. I don't think most wired 360 controllers connect directly to a PC or 360(?) but they all come with an adapter for both 360 allowing it to be used via USB which will also allow it to be used on PC games that support controllers, or with software that forces a game that doesn't allow use of a controller to use the controller with a certain setup. Not sure about the adapter but I only use USB controllers and all my 360 controllers have the adapter.
You need to press the connect button on the dongle and then press the menu button on the controller

no
You don't have to, you can use a Game Cube Controller.
no
it should be able to with a wireless adapter
Paper Mario 2 (thousand year door) is onlyavailable for game cube but if you buy a game cube controller and memory card game cube games will work on the wii.
The wireless game cube controller will work up to 30 feet before it will stop working which is actually quite a long ways way.
If you are looking for a controller to your game cube, this can be purchased as several different online and brick and mortar stores. If you have a local Game Stop in your area, you may want to start your search there.
You cannot connect your controller to your PC. However, Microsoft have released a gaming controller for PC which is a Xbox 360 controller.
