well first when you start your period it might be really heavy or really light but if it is heavy use a comfortable tampon for you in the day. usually for first timers you should use a pad then go to tampons when it gets really heavy that is what I did but do not and I am saying this to protect you do not use a tampon day and night it will give you a disease called tss it is from having in a tampon for too long so just don't do that. ok back to tampons and pads, use a tampon in the day and change it about every 4 hours then you can switch to a pad at night if it is really heavy double up on pads if you have to.

well first things first never panic every thing will turn out okay , all you do is take some toilet paper and fold some up so its thick and then lay it down in your underwear as if it was a pad once you get in your class room ask to go to the nurses office , however if your teacher asks why ? just say you don't feel well to save your self from some embarrassment . - If you found this helpful click on the recommend thx =)
If you leak then you just deal with it the best you can - rinse out clothing or bedding in cold water and soak before washing, and change menstrual products. Consider options like menstrual cups which don't leak like tampons or pads, and period underwear to prevent leaks on clothing.
