This depends on whether the hot water comes from a combination boiler or from a hot water tank with a header tank feeding it. For a combination boiler the fault would probably be at the boiler, possibly from scale in the heat exchanger.

For the system that uses the header tank and a hot water cylinder it could be that the float valve in the header tank is stuck an there for it is not refilling the tank or debris has entered the tank and is blocking the outlet.

Will wrapping your body in saran wrap help lose weight?

The cling wrap does indeed help you lose weight. The light pressure on the wrapped tissues squeezes a little of the water in the tissue fluids back into the blood stream. This water is then excreted by the kidneys as increased urine. The water lost is the only source of weight loss. It is only temporary. The fluid will return after the pressure is removed. The same kind of weight loss can be obtained by standing in deep water.

Why is the steam pressure coming out of the boiler low?

Depends on the situation! It may be needed at only a low pressure. Otherwise it may be the result of reduced heat input or of the input of cold feed-water.

Why do you lose water pressure in a bathroom sink?

All pipes in a house are connected, so when two outlets are turned on the water has to change from going in one direction to being divided and go two directions. However, the loss in water pressure should only be temporary . . . usually the system will re-adjust

Why is a beaker of cold water use in some experiments when collection gas?

To clarify a point - a gas is more soluble in cold water than in hot water. I can only surmise that cold water is used in the process of gas collection by downward displacement of water due to the lower vapor pressure of water at the lower temperature - compared to normal room temperature. This would have the effect of collecting drier gas in the collecting cylinder.

Can swimming make your cold worse?

No. You do not get a common cold by being cold or in the cold or cold water, that is an old belief from before viruses were known to be the cause of a cold. See the related questions below for more information about this myth.

What causes pipes rattle when hot water on in kitchen only?

Possibly, the water pipe feeding from the geyser to that tap has not been secured down properly and is not rattling, or you may need to turn the pressure down on the pressure valve feeding the geyser on the cold line to reduce the noise.
