Feminine odor is generally caused by bodily response to changes in the pH of the vulva and vagina.
Wash only with water and washcloth or water and fingers. Do not use soaps, wipes, feminine wash, douche, perfumes or deodorants. Do not eat acidic foods, or food such as broccoli or asparagus.
Bacteriosis is another potential cause of vaginal odor.
Dry vulva completely after bathing and urinating (a blow dryer on its lowest and coolest setting may be necessary. If you use any tampons or inserted contraceptives, make sure to remove them promptly. Do not scratch or touch genitals with dirty hands. Wear only breathable cotton underwear, never nylon and not too tightly fitted.
Some antibiotics can also contribute to unwanted vaginal odor.
Make sure to talk to your doctor about possible side effects of any medications and any concerns you have about your reproductive health. Take medication exactly as prescribed.
Irritation, inflammation, and disease can be factors of vaginosis.
Do not shave the vulva area. Treat any infections promptly. Schedule regular STD screenings with your doctor.

∙ 13y agoWell, wash daily. When you're on your period if you wear pads you can buy pads that are lightly scented. If you wear tampons I don't think the smell issue is quite as bad.
