I have a 99 Hyundai Sonata That the check engine light came on, and # 3 & 5 Injectors were fouled
The 1999 Hyundai Sonata GLS came equipped with the 2.4L 4-cylinder and 2.5L 6-cylinder engines. Both engines had the F4A51 automatic transmissions. As of September 2014 the newest and downwardly compatible automatic transmission fluid specification for the application is Hyundai SP-IV.
The fluid go in the same hole that the dip stick came out of. You will have to use a funnel.
I just purchased a 2011 sonata 1 week ago.it came with no owners manual.an orange symbol with a half circle on bottom and a thermometer? looking stick in the middle of the half circle popped up.what might that be?
It is a problem with your break switch. Had the same thing happen to my Sonata, try the shift lock release button to get it into drive. There are instructions in the manual. If your electronic stability control light stays lit, you need to take it to a dealer to get checked out. If you need a tow call the roadside assistance number in your warranty booklet that came with the manual.
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
You have to find the reason why it came on.
It came out in 2007. Hope I helped!
The 2001 Hyundai Elantra's came with the 2.0L engine

1802, along with the 2nd and 3rd movements of the sonata.
If it is an automatic it could be the torque converter lock up not turning off as you come to a stop. It would feel like coming to a red light in a standard shift and not pushing in the clutch as you came to a stop.
