By any chance has your gauge panel dimmer wheel switch ( located to the right of your
headlight switch on your dash ) been rotated all the way down ? That keeps the
interior lights from coming on when the door is opened

The dome light override switch next to the light might be bad. In one position (pushed in, I believe), it provides a constant 12V to the light. In the other position, it provides 12V to the light only when the doors are open. If the switch is bad, it might not be letting electricity through it at all.
