* Stretches * Eat a healthy meal that gives you lots of energy, about an hour (or later) before the race. DO NOT eat right before the race, otherwise you'll get cramps
cheese
Nothing, they fast!
Runners like to eat a heavy carb diet before they have a race to run, they do not eat dairy because it is really hard to digest. Right before a race lots of runners like to eat bananas so they will not get leg cramps.
to eat omelets before the race
yes
Eat a lot of carbohydrates the night before. eat some fruit about 2 hours before the race. Don't eat right before though because you will get sick. Its best to run on a empty stomach. At most if you want to eat a little something before, a good snack would be a gronola bar. Oh and make sure you drink lots of water the day before and early on before the race so you dont get dehydrated.
Pasta due to the carbohydrates. :)
Race horses are feed a diet of high energy foods such as oat, however feeding a horse before they work is not a good idea is it can cause colic so they are not feed before they race as they could die.
Of course! It is so important to eat before a race of any kind. You should be sure to eat lots of protein, carbohydrates and fat. Fat gives your body a boost in endurance because it stores up extra energy inside of you.
Also any food with alot of carbs like bread and pasta. I wouldn't eat any sugary foods like candy before the race.
A tiny high-carbohydrate meal (wheat, beans, etc.) and 2-3 gulps of water. <Do NOT eat within 1 hour of the race
