Gifts are not expected at a Mormon baptism, but some people do choose to give a small gift. It depends on the age, gender, and interests of the person being baptized. Here are some ideas:
-A personalized set of scriptures
-An LDS hymn book or primary children's songbook
-A journal
-A scrapbook for memories of the baptism day
-A painting of Jesus Christ
-religious themed jewelry
-A book written by a church leader
-A CD of religious/inspirational music
-A card with a heartfelt note from you
For my own Mormon baptism as an eight year old girl, I recieved a CTR necklace, a small framed painting of Jesus, scriptures, a primary children's songbook, several cards, and a baptism scrapbook.
