There is an idle adjustment at the carb. Look where the accelerator pulls the butterfly stop and you will see an adjustment screw.
When an idle control value is clogged the idling speed of your vehicle will change. The car may also stall when you turn on the air conditioning.
High is 7/8 ths of a turn out from lightly seated. Low would be 1-1/4 turn out. This is ball park settings. The saw should run but will need fine tuning. Be careful not to turn the H screw in to far and lean out the mixture and damage the motor. The idle adjustment should rest, centered on the pointed end of the idle speed adj. screw. Once the H and L jets are adjusted then you want to turn the idle screw out as far as possible so the idle is set at the lowest smootly running speed you can achieve. http://store.chainsawr.com/

You look for the button that you push to turn it on, then you push that button and hold it there for 3 seconds to go idle, and 5 seconds to turn it completely off.

There is an idle screw on the side of the carb its the one you can turn by hand if you have to use a screw driver its probably not the idle screw. turn it CW to increase and ccw to decrease.
The idle on a Toro push mower can be adjusted by turning the screw located on the carburetor. Turn the screw to the right to gain idle speed and turn the screw to the left to diminish idle speed.
Idle speed is computer controlled and is not adjustable.
