What tool could help me know witch colors of light are emitted by my flashlight?

You could shine your flashlight through a prism- the prism will split the light into all the colors it was formed from. If your flashlight gives off standard white light, you don't have to use a prism because all white light is formed from all the colors of the rainbow.

Wendy wants to know which colors of light are emitted by her flashlight. Which tool could help her?

How is laser light different from light emitted from a flashlight?

Laser light is different in many ways. These are the biggies. a) Laser light is almost monochromatic. Because it is created by exciting a specific substance to emit photons, the light emitted by the source is almost all one specific wavelength. The light from a flashlight contains all of the colors in the spectrum, forming "white light". b) Laser light is very coherent. This means that the waves leaving the laser remain in phase for a very long time. Light from a flashlight is not coherent. As a result, a laser can project a distinct beam of light much farther than a flashlight. c) Laser light is directional. This means that the beam of light being emitted does not spread much with distance. Hence it can still appear as a point of light many meters away from the source. A flashlight beam will quickly spread the further it is viewed from the source. Because of these fundamental properties, lasers are an excellent experimental device.

How does light determine an objects's color?

Light determine an object's by the wavelength of light that reach to your eyes.light can reach your eyes after being reflected by an object, transmitted through an object,or emitted by an object. When your eyes receive the light, they send signals to your brain.Your brain interprets the signals as colors.

Why does the brightness of the light emitted by a flashlight decrease as the flashlight moves farther away from you?

Because the constant amount of light that the flashlight produces is spread outover a larger area when it's farther away, so the intensity at every point is less. The flashlight might attack you, so be careful. Also, if your earlobes are out of control, tape them down. Please. The torch light penetrate each so much light is not parallel, with the light propagation distance become far, spacing between the light light is more and more big, making smaller according to the density of light in the distance.

What medium is disturbed when a light wave is emitted from a flashlight or a candle?

None. Electromagnetic wave do not need a medium to propagate through.

How do humans see colors based on the wavelength of light?

When wavelengths composed of white light are interfered with by matter on their way to our eyes, or when a non-white distribution of light has been emitted.

Why do salts produce colors when heated?

The cause of the color is light (specific spectral lines) emitted by the metal from the salt at high temperatures.

When a strontium compound is heated in a flame red light is produced When a barium compound is heated in a flame yellow-green light is produced Explain why these colors are emitted?

Yes
